Basics of Blog Setup - What Should I Create First
By : Diana Tudor
When you start your blogging adventure you need to have in mind the main goal/goals of your blog. The more you know about what you want to write and do with it and who your main target market is the easier it will be for you.
Even if blog platforms have different elements and plug-ins available, you'll need to come up with some ideas of your basic blog setup and structure.
This contains the types and categories of information you intend to share with the audience. For example, you will need to create content for your:
- About Us section
- A contact page
- Resources
- Blog categories for each type of news
- Deciding whether to accept comments
- Basic marketing elements such as a blogroll or link exchange
- Space for advertising
- Feeds
- Ad Sense sections
- Logos
- Blog archives
- Page headers
I'm only going to talk about the "About us" section in this article and if you want to find out more about the other categories listed above you can at www.CopywritingSiteWeb.com
The About us section represents your business/your profile. It's what makes you special and different from all the others doing the same as you. This is very, very important. If you do this right, people will trust you and you will sale more.
This section should have plenty of information about you or your company, a phone number if possible, an email address where people can get in touch with you. It also must have a short description of you/your company, how you got started, when, what do you do and why do you do it better than others. This last part is crucial to your online and offline success!
You must absolutely and without a shadow of a doubt know why you are the best in your field! Why people should buy from you and not from your competitors. If you analyze what you have to offer, what your competition offers and then think of ways to differentiate yourself from them, you're going to be very successful.
Just think it through, write down all the ideas that you get and then... go for a walk! I mean it! Just get away from that piece of paper for an hour or two. When you come back, read it again and you'll be amazed at all the ideas you'll get, that weren’t there before you left. Don't think if this works, do it now and you know it works!
Blogging generates money every day for people who know how to do it. If you have a business or thinking of starting one, you should take a look at a great blogging guide for business owners at http://www.ResellRightsLimitedOffers.com.
